Tupenny Opera are Dave Weir, Maya Sapir and Thomas Jonneskindt.

Their songs feature passionate vocals and soaring guitars that are intricately woven with explosive bass and drums. They write and perform darkly poetic, highly inventive pop tinged with echoes of 1960s psychedelia and prog rock. From the romantic to the political they cover a gamut of human experiences with dramatic flair.
