About

Male mental health in the UK is in crisis.

74% of all suicides are men. 1 in 5 men say they feel constantly anxious. 40% of men have never spoken to anyone about their mental health. Only 36% of NHS therapy referrals are for men.

The pressure to stay strong, silent and in control is costing lives.

This session offers a different path. Breathwork helps you access what's stored in the body and move the weight so many men carry silently. There is no pressure to talk, perform or explain. Just breath.

Why do it with other men

The energetic connection between men is powerful. For thousands of years, men have hunted together, trained together and gone into battle together. There is real strength in being seen and heard by other men. A brotherhood that doesn't require words.

Think of the scene in Gladiator where Maximus falls and is carried out by his fellow warriors. Or the men of Sparta moving as one. That collective power runs deep.

For many men, this experience mirrors the father–son connection that was either present or painfully absent. It touches something primal: the ability to witness another man's life, his pain and his power, and to feel it in your own heart.

What it is

A time to find healing and strength. A chance to journey into an altered state of consciousness and see life from a different perspective, one with less ego and less mind chatter.

A moment to disconnect from the external world and reconnect with your inner world. To feel. To let go. To be. To be seen, heard and witnessed.

What is breathwork?

Breathwork is a ceremony that invites you to lie down and commit to continuous, rhythmic breathing. As the session unfolds, your brain waves begin to shift, rising into higher gamma oscillations between 30 and 100Hz, sometimes called "the mystical state."

In this state you become more open and connected to the music, the words and the environment, often bringing forward emotion, insight and release.

Working with archetypes

Archetypes are deep internal patterns that live in every man: the Warrior, the Father, the Child, the King. These aren't roles to play. They are parts of your inner world that shape how you think, feel and act.

Working with archetypes in breathwork helps uncover emotion, memory and belief systems that are often hidden, and gives those parts of you the space to be seen, felt and integrated.

What to expect

Quite literally anything. Visions and insights into your past or present life. Moments of bliss or stillness. Deep relaxation. A full spectrum of emotion, from light to dark.

How you may leave feeling

Deeply relaxed, lighter and more connected. You might gain clarity about yourself, and about any changes you feel ready to make.

YOUR FACILITATOR

Sy is a breathwork facilitator and strength coach who has worked with men's and women's sports teams for over 12 years. His direction has now shifted toward facilitating healing for others and exploring the role men play in the world: what it means to be a man, and how we define true masculinity.

Sy uses Jungian archetypes in his breathwork ceremonies to support deep understanding, empowerment and healing.
