Introduction to scentwork (6 week course)

Scentwork classes are a great way to strengthen your relationship with your dog whilst practicing fun exercises in a natural environment. Learning scentwork harnesses your dog's natural abilities and helps you work with rather than against them, to support more harmonious and interactive walks, which can be effective in helping with recall issues and other problem behaviours (alongside appropriate training and behaviour modification).

During these classes you will teach your dog how to:

-Search for toys and articles carrying your scent

-Track people

-Detect a specific odour (cloves) like drugs detection dogs

You will also improve your core training skills and your dogs ability to perform other training exercises.

The classes take place between Staverton and Ipplepen on Wednesdays 9.15am-10.15am.

Dates: 9/9, 16/9, 23/9, 30/9, 7/10 and 14/10.
