About

The Professional Certificate in Psychedelic Practice is a one-year postgraduate programme designed to develop the theoretical knowledge, practical skills and reflective practice needed to become a psychedelically informed practitioner.

The programme supports healthcare and helping professionals in delivering more compassionate, evidence-informed care while developing a sophisticated understanding of psychedelic medicines, preparation, integration and contemporary practice.

Graduates automatically become members of the PsyEdu Professional Network , with many going on to work in areas including:

  • Clinical psychedelic trials
  • Preparation & integration therapy
  • Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy
  • Therapeutic sitting services
  • Psychedelic retreat facilitation

Students also have the opportunity to attend a legal psychedelic retreat in the Netherlands through one of PsyEdu's partner organisations.

The programme is primarily designed for registered Health and Social Care professionals and complementary practitioners with at least two years' professional experience.

Applicants from other helping professions—including coaches, chaplains, probation officers and those working in pastoral or social care—may also be considered where they can demonstrate appropriate experience, knowledge of mental health and a compassionate orientation to practice. Admission is at the discretion of the PsyEdu Academic Director.
