Creative Consultation

Create. Dream. Acetate.

(if you dont know what this means, come and find out. ;) )

Come along to our creative consultation for Totnes youth (under 30s).

Together we will journey through Totnes… from old quarries, river spots, hidden woodlands and the infamous highstreet. Collectively we will ponder what we love about Totnes, and connect to the landscapes. We will also wonder, as young people: what do we want to see changed? What change do we want to be a part of? What do young people need to be part of changemaking and community building in Totnes?

After our walk, we'll end up back at Darkroom and spend a few hours turning our dreams and ideas into an acetate art piece. Please, come along no matter your artistic experience, the person writing this (Brad) is no picasso! We will collaborate and support each other to create a collective piece.

Our piece will then be exhibited at the Totnes area Youth Festival and Assembly, which will be held at the Glade, on the 1st August.

These two events form a series that attempts to provide power and possibility to young people in Totnes. We want to hear what is important to Youth in Totnes, and what they need to feel resourced and able to participate in the community.

Please note, anyone from in and around the Totnes area is welcome e.g surrounding hamlets, or even towns, if you have spent/do spend a lot of time in Totnes and it is a meaningful place to you! This is not restricted to Totnesians, but this will be a Totnes area focused workshop. It may even be that you come to this workshop to be inspired by Totnes and make change in your local area or initiate a collaboration or network.
