On this very special occasion to mark the end of Pilgrim Souls Arts Week at St Germans Priory, we invite you to join us for a night of original folk music with a stellar line up of Cornish artists: Seamus McKenna, Carys Lewin, Holly Ann Coles, Tadhg Cullen and Anna Anise.
This exceptional ensemble will have spent 5 days at the Priory collaborating and working on new songs inspired by St Germans Priory, its history and the theme of Pilgrims and Journeys. They will also share a selection of their existing works, to set the scene for this one-of-a-kind showcase concert.
INTRODUCING THE ARTISTS…
Seamus Mckenna has over a decades experience in writing, recording and performing. Mixing influences from his Irish Roots & Acoustic folk, Séamus has an eclectic yet familiar sound.
Carys Lewin is a singer, songwriter, and musician based in the South West of the UK. She is best known as the lead vocalist and harmonium player for the contemporary folk duo HUMM , which explored music inspired by the natural world, folkloric tales, and environmental activism.
**Holly Ann Coles ** is an atmospheric ambi-Folk singer & sound Facilitator in Cornwall, with songs inspired by Spirit of Place, the Waters and Folklore.
**Tadhg Cullen ** is a singer-songwriter based in Falmouth, Cornwall, whose music blends folk, jazz, and R&B. He uses his songwriting as a vessel to process complex themes like grief, love, and mental health.
Anna Anise is a radiant voice in modern folk, blending melodic hooks, rich vocals, and full-bodied guitar tunings with the heritage of the Cornish language to create something truly captivating.
