About
PsySoc Social READING
An evening of real talk, new friends & wild tales
Tired of small talk? So are we.
Come drop the mask and dive into something a little more real.
Join us for a night of Psychedelic Speed-Friending , where curiosity, courage and connection take centre stage. We’ll gently guide you through playful ice-breakers and juicy conversation prompts designed to help you meet new people in meaningful ways. Think slow, soul-nourishing conversations rather than frantic networking. Expect short but impactful heart-to-hearts in pairs and trios. Plus plenty of time to flow freely with whoever you vibe with most.
Once the room’s warmed up and hearts are open, we shift into Psychedelic Storytelling, our beloved open mic session where you get the chance to take the stage. Share your story, whether it’s strange, tender, funny, or downright mystical. There’s no need to be polished or profound, just honest. Stories are 5 minutes max, and you can sign up on the night.
**A Beautiful Psychedelic Community: ** Get access to our wonderful community coalescing around all things fungi. Many people at our socials have become life-long friends. Most of our members come alone, this is a safe and welcoming space for everyone, no matter your age, sexuality, background, gender, ethnicity or nationality. Fungi know no boundaries, which is the ethos we bring to our socials.

OUR TEAM
Lucy Challenger

Lucy Challenger is a coach, somatic educator and sexological bodyworker based in the forests of West Berkshire. Her work brings together relational inquiry and embodied practice, supporting individuals and couples through processes of deep transformation, healing and self-understanding.
Lucy is in the final year of an MSc in Psychedelics: Mind, Medicine and Culture at the University of Exeter. She is EMARK certified and trained in sexological bodywork, as well as tantric approaches to embodiment, intimacy and trauma-informed touch. Alongside her facilitation work, she teaches classical Pilates and somatic practices that support nervous system regulation, body awareness and relational connection.
As Community and Connection Events Lead for Berkshire within The Psychedelic Society, Lucy is passionate about bringing people together to explore consciousness, connection and the human experience through thoughtful conversation and shared experience. She is particularly drawn to the spirit of open inquiry found in the work of J. Krishnamurti, and to spaces where people can explore relationship, awareness and self-understanding together.
