About

**(Monthly) Song Circle @ Plot 9 **

Join us for songs around the campfire. All abilities and all voices welcome. Expect a mixture of simple songs, rounds, songs in harmony, songs about nature and folk songs. Songs are taught by call and response so we can relax and be in the moment together, supported by the very special outdoor venue.

This is a monthly group that you can dip in and out of with the goal of creating a familiar community to share song together at this nature-filled space .

July Birthday Special - it's actually my birthday on 4th July, I will be running the singing as usual. About Emily

Singing in groups is proven to promote wellbeing in a number of ways - I find sharing songs to be a simple and powerful way to tune in to ourselves, to one another and feel a deeper sense of connection’

With a background in clowning and theatre, Emily brings a playful spirit to her song facilitation…

**The story so far… **

In 2022 I began my song facilitation journey creating a project called ’ Sing for your Supper ’ responding to my own need for more community connection I decided the best way to bring people together was through sharing food and song….

In 2023 I started to conduct Shakti Sings Choir, facilitating days of song culminating in performances and song rituals to honour the earth including a singing pilgrimage of the River Thames.

In December 2023 I had the chance to lead songs at Stonehenge for the winter solstice and again for the summer solstice 2024.

I have lead singing at festivals including a choir performance and song workshop at Be The Earth festival @42 acres Regenerative Estate & Nature Reserve (pictured above)

I have also trained in vocal improvisation facilitation and circle singing with Guillermo Rozenthuler & Phoebe Osbourne and as part of international singing festival 'Le Circle Enchante’, I love to weave these practices and moments of spontaneity into the song circles I lead.

I am a member of the Natural Voice Network. More about our singing community here:- https://www.naturalvoice.net/
