Your headliners for the night will be Hireth.

Hireth are a professional four-part vocal group performing in Kernewek (the Cornish language). Their music breathes new life into well known Cornish songs while introducing striking original works inspired by the emotional landscape of Cornwall itself. They have recently recorded for an advert with Apple Inc, and can be heard on the opening to Cornish Language comedy series Degemeroryon/Receptionists. Formed during a windswept artists’ residency on the cliffs of Cape Cornwall, Hireth brings together the talents of songwriter Anna Anise, multi-instrumentalist Daniel Woodfield, composer Matthew Thomason, and vocalist Millie Young. A rising force in contemporary folk, their performances are evocative, and unforgettable.

And they will be supported by sets from three local choirs spanning genres and styles:

Bodmin Way Community Choir
Founded in autumn 2022, Bodmin Way Community Choir is a welcoming choir for people of all ages and abilities who simply love to sing. Bringing together generations through music, the choir offers a varied repertoire, opportunities to develop vocal skills, and a friendly environment where lasting friendships can flourish.

Led by talented and much-loved musician, singer, and songwriter Caroline Bailey, the choir meets three times a year at St Petroc’s Parish Centre for its popular seasonal eight-week sessions: Autumn Song, Spring Sing, and Summer Singing.

The choir has built strong links with local schools and community groups and has performed at venues such as St Petroc's Church, Bodmin Market, and the Eden Project. Members have also collaborated with local musicians and choirs, including performances with Bodmin Town Band and singing backing vocals on a new track by Flo Crowe & the Dilemmas.

With a passion for community, creativity, and connection, Bodmin Way Community Choir lives by its motto: “For all who love to sing!”
