About

Join us in West Dartmoor at a beautiful moorland site near Tavistock, for three days of adventure, discovery, and connection in nature. Rooted in Forest School principles, this child-led experience offers space for imagination, exploration, skill-building, and growing alongside the land through play.

Participants will be encouraged to follow their curiosity, develop confidence and resilience, and build a meaningful relationship with the natural world through hands-on activities, creative exploration, nature crafts, games, storytelling, and woodland skills. We believe that some of the deepest learning happens when children are given the freedom to explore, dream, experiment, and engage with the world at their own pace.

Set in a supportive outdoor environment, the programme aims to nurture independence, cooperation, creativity, and a sense of belonging, while fostering a lasting connection with the land and the seasons. Each day will unfold responsively, guided by the interests of the group and the opportunities presented by the natural environment.

Facilitated b y Nele Nala. Nele is a Belgian Forest School Leader in training with a background in child and creative coaching. For the past three years, she has worked outdoors with children, creating inclusive and nurturing spaces where connection to the land, creativity, child-led learning, and non-violent communication come together. Her approach fosters a safe and supportive environment in which children can explore, play, build confidence, and deepen their relationship with the natural world.
