Pick & Print

Join in Totnes or Bristol this summer for a day of creative nature connection and botanical print-making!

Saturday 11th July from 10.00 - 17.00 in a beautiful yurt in Staverton, Totnes

Sunday 2nd Augus t form 13.00 - 18.00 at the amazing Bridge Farm in Bristol!

We will take inspiration from the gorgeous flowers and plant s that surround us in the mid-summer.

Pip Greeves print artist based in Devon, will guide us through the process of sketching plants, carving lino, inking-up and pressing the prints! Juliet from ‘The Craft That Reconnects' will connect us to the landscape, regenerative craft and demonstrate how to make natural printing ink!

We will also experiment with the suns power to print using cyanotype paper. You will take away a beautiful collection of work and a jar of your own natural printing ink to carry on creating!

There will be herbal teas and yummy snacks along with all craft materials :)

Cant wait to get creative with you!

Location

In Devon we are collaborating with a very special project called ‘New Futures,’ CIC - a community based education initiative, focusing on learning from nature through practical skills, creativity and personal development. We are so pleased to be running this workshop with support from them!

In Bristol we are being hosted by Bridge farm, an incredible community project engaging the city with the land. This was one of our favourite hang-outs when we lived in Bristol and we cant wait to support them and see some old friends!

**About us: **

We are neighbours and friends who spend time walking, dreaming and getting creative!

Juliet is a regenerative crafter and creative facilitator, initiating - ‘The Craft that Reconnects.’ She loves foraging materials and sharing seasonal community craft workshops, which she hopes encourage people to steward and heal local landscapes. She studied ‘Engaged Ecology’ at Schumacher where she became inspired to teach rural craft skills.

Pip is a local printmaker, specialising in relief and etching work. She has a strong narrative element to her prints, portraying twists on traditional tales and playing with the dark whimsy of where we live. She's interested in creating a narrative from the world around us and also the therapeutic nature of carving a plate and what that can offer the maker.

Pip - Selling work at a festival stall!

**Practical **

Please bring your own lunch/water bottle

If you are coming to the event in Staverton the yurt is a rural location - directions will be emailed over before the event!

The craft day is aimed at adults and young people (12 years +)

If you have younger children and want to come but would struggle to find childcare, please get in touch as we might be able to find a solution as theres a big patch of grass/woodland for games, we just need to know numbers incase we need extra adults.

We hope you leave the day feeling inspired by the beauty of the plants that surround us, and connected to your creativity!

Get in contact with any questions - hope to see you there!
