🌿 Vocal Playground: Collaborative Vocal Improvisation day in London 🌿

💥Collaborative Vocal Improvisation is the art of making spontaneously co-composed vocal music with other singers. It is becoming more and more popular in Europe and now in the UK because It feels so utterly incredible. You will be courageous and It will be liberating and the music will make you so very alive. It is a way to discover yourself, what you are capable of and what the music sounds like inside you. A wild adventure for the curious singer and a way in, to change & develop how you move through the world.

**✨Who for? All singers ** who want to dip toes or carry on learning and practicing the art of vocal improv. You will be curious and even if you don't identify as a singer, will be able to hold pitch and basic rhythm. You'll feel confident having a go at singing on your own in a small group. Maybe you’ve heard of it, or maybe you’ve done some before and want to continue learning and practicing.

✨When: Sunday, June 20th, 2pm-7pm

✨Where: Music Tree, Highbury and Islington.

**Spaces are limited to have an intimate and safe learning environment. Spaces are first come, first served. **

• Learn structures and games that will introduce us to different elements of collective vocal improvisation
• Build and develop strong and sturdy musical foundations so you can create music that you love
• Sing from the body so you feel connected to yourself and others
• Grow confidence and courage to both step in and listen deeply

• Make magical spontaneous music that makes you feel so alive
• Meet and connect with open and curious humans who love to sing and grow

🌸Phoebe Martha is a Welsh Singer, Composer, Facilitator & Speech and Language Therapist. She has delved deep into the art of Vocal Improvisation over the past 6 years, which has taken her all over the world to learn, perform and discover more. She sings with European Vocal Improv group _ Oöm _ , London based story and vocal improv project _ Pascol, _ is part of the **UK Vocal Improv Collective. **

Phoebe loves facilitating and has led numerous choirs, creative music projects, courses and retreats. Phoebe is fascinated in how vocal improv has affected her relationship to herself, which has then ricochetted into her relationships and way of being in the world. It has literally blown her mind in a way that she can’t not share it.

Phoebe’s teachers and inspirations include:

• The powerhouse that is Rhiannon (after completing All the Way in 2025)
• Musica Do Circulo masterful trio in Sao Paolo, Brazil (after completing the training in 2023)
• Guillermo Rozenthuler who introduced Phoebe to ‘Circle Songs’ and remains a close collaborator
• **Bobby Mc Ferrin ** who created ‘Circle Songs’ and was hugely influential in the Vocal Improv World
