Adult Makers Club. Thursday Oct. 1 from 5:30-7pm

Paper nichos are an accessible adaptation of traditional Mexican folk art nichos, which are typically made of wood, tin, or glass. They are created as deeply personal altars, with objects and symbols chosen specifically to represent the personality, memories, or favorite things of the person/animal being honored. Leah will walk us through the steps needed to make a highly meaningful paper nicho.

This Adult arts program is regularly co-hosted by Library Assistant Director/Artist Jessie and our “Artist-in’Residence” Leah DeCapio, and we also host a variety of local guest artists and presenters. We'll be trying our hands at a different art technique or project every month! From paper crafts, sewing skills, to paint, leather and clay, we hope to cover it all and have some fun creating!
