British singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Luke Marzec returns home to Buckfastleigh for a special homecoming performance at the MIC, joined by his Big Soul Band.

**With more than a decade of experience as a songwriter and producer, Marzec has built a reputation for his distinctive blend of soul, jazz and experimental production. His music combines soulful songwriting with richly layered instrumentation, and has gained support from BBC Introducing, Radio 6 and Radio 2, while his releases have accumulated millions of streams online. **

After releasing several EPs beginning with _ Chances _ in 2018, Marzec released his debut album _ Something Good Out of Nothing _ **in 2025 — a record written and recorded in Buckfastleigh and launched at the Barrel House in Totnes. **

Since forming his latest band in Buckfastleigh in 2025, Marzec has led a dynamic quartet that debuted to a sold-out audience in August that year. Over the winter months the band has been honing its sound and developing new material during a residency at the Barrel House in Totnes.

Now, for the first time, that new music will be showcased to a home crowd.

For this special performance at the MIC, the quartet will be joined by Luke Marzec’s Big Soul Band. Throughout the evening a host of guest musicians will take to the stage, with the ensemble gradually expanding as the performance unfolds.

Expect an immersive night of soulful grooves, expansive arrangements and powerful live energy as Marzec brings his latest music home to Buckfastleigh.
