About

For singles, friends, strangers, lovers… (ie everyone!)

Partner yoga uses many of the same principles of a regular yoga class, but the poses are practiced in connection between two (or more) people.

In this workshop we will play, make shapes and connect as we guide each other supportively into poses. We will explore moving in tune with each other people, sometimes non verbally, to create connection in community and further ground ourselves in our yoga practice.

As someone who previously practiced a lot of acro yoga, I enjoyed the creative, playful way in which you can experience your body when in relation to others. However, I found that unlike a normal yoga practice, acro yoga left my nervous system extremely heightened. This is when I turned to partner yoga - creating a safe environment through yoga to explore connection, touch, trust, platonic intimacy and playfulness with others to further understand the Self. Seeing your body as a vessel and being curious about what is possible has had a profound and positive impact on my relationship with my body. From feeling strong enough to lift and support another person, to gaining much needed co-regulation of nervous systems, compassion for others and reminding us how we are all connected.

No need to bring a partner as we'll work in groups of twos and threes. Whether you turn up by yourself, with a partner, or a few friends, give it a go and just have some fun moving as a collective. Come along if you fancy trying partner yoga in a friendly and supportive environment.

If you are currently working with an injury, you are welcome to message and see if this workshop would be suitable for you.

Beginners welcome.
