About

Calling all teachers and educators! Recharge and reconnect in a half-day retreat for teachers, teaching assistants and school staff - designed to help you release tension, rest deeply, and connect with colleagues who understand the joys and challenges of teaching.

We’ll begin with a dynamic yoga practice to exhale stress and energize your body. After a short tea break, we move into a long restorative yoga session with a live sound bath savasana — allowing your body and mind to fully relax. During this deeply restorative practice, you may notice emotions or tension naturally being released — this is completely normal and part of the relaxation process.

We’ll close with a heart-centered sharing circle, reflecting on our experiences as teachers, followed by writing a self-care love letter to yourself for the Easter holidays — leaving you with intention and inspiration to rest and recharge.

What to bring?
All yoga mats and props provided. Just wear comfy clothes. You may want to bring a journal - but paper will be provided for the final exercise.

Do I need to have yoga experience?
No yoga experience is needed. Exercises can be adjusted for all ages, shapes and abilities.

Do I have to be a teacher?
If you are a teacher, teaching assistant or work in a school setting in some capacity - you are welcome to join us.

Facilitator
This is organised and led by Lizzy. An ex teacher with 7 years classroom experience as a secondary science teacher. Now, as a yoga teacher, my aim is to support teachers and educators with tools to help them recharge from what is an emotionally challenging role.
