About

Join us at Reimagine Co. to build a full Mediterranean spread from scratch. This session focuses on pulling together a satisfying, protein-packed meal using fresh herbs, grains, and a few clever kitchen techniques that don't require a stove. We’ll work together to create a professional-looking platter that’s easy to recreate at home on a budget.

Date: Wednesday, April 22, 2026

Time: Doors open at 5:45 PM, workshop begins at 6:00 PM

Location: Reimagine Co., London, Ontario – https://reimagineco.ca

What You’ll Experience:

  • Meet Your Community & Connect: We’ll start with a quick icebreaker so you can meet the people at your table and get settled in.
  • Food Safety & Kitchen Skills: We’ll go over the best practices for handling fresh produce and bulk grains safely, especially when prepping for a larger group.
  • Skills Demonstration: We’ll walk through the most efficient technique for hydrating bulgur wheat without a stovetop and share professional knife techniques for mincing large volumes of fresh herbs and dicing spring vegetables quickly and safely.
  • Hands-on Mezze Prep: You’ll work with your table to prep a fresh Tabbouleh salad and a thick, rustic hummus mashed by hand. We’ll also put together some quick-pickled radishes for extra crunch and colour.
  • Creative Freedom: There are no strict recipes here. You’re encouraged to taste as you go and use the lemon, garlic, tahini, and za’atar to season the dishes exactly how you like them.
  • Wrap-Up & Community Care: Once the prep is done, we’ll plate everything up with warm pita bread and eat together as a group. Then, we’ll all pitch in to get the stations cleaned up.

A Welcoming Space for Everyone:

At Grow Cook Learn, we believe that healthy eating looks different for everyone. This is a judgment-free space where all bodies, backgrounds, and skill levels are celebrated. We focus on food neutrality and the joy of building skills as a community.

Families & Children:

Kids are absolutely welcome! Please keep in mind that the workshop begins with a short interactive presentation that involves a sitting period. During the food preparation portion, knives will be used. We expect all participants to follow safe food handling practices as we will be sharing the preparation space and tools. We are happy to make accommodations to ensure the best experience for you and your family—please let us know if you require any specific arrangements when you register.

What to Bring:

  • Your enthusiasm and curiosity!
  • A container to safely transport any extra food home.
  • Closed-toe shoes appropriate for indoors (please change out of outdoor shoes to help keep our space clean and safe).
  • A hair tie or clip to secure long hair during food preparation.
  • All ingredients, tools, and materials are provided.

Accessibility & Parking:

Reimagine Co. offers an accessible venue for all participants. Limited free parking is available onsite in the lot. Paid parking is available across the street — please note it’s privately owned and ticketing is enforced for violations — and there is an additional paid parking lot one building past Reimagine Co., towards Richmond Street.
