Reiki Soundbath - Cello + Flutes + Voice

_ Come to unwind and deeply relax in this expansive, nourishing and healing reiki sound journey - with live cello, hand-made flutes and vocals. _

This is a sound healing journey with optional reiki touch created by Katie / Hover Fly, who weaves her extensive knowledge of jazz harmonies through expansive ethereal gentle live looping on her cello and voice, and sound and energy worker Charlie Battin (www.charliebattin.co.uk) who will be playing his hand-made flutes.

There will be optional reiki touch during the soundbath, to support your personal healing journey whilst you receive the healing vibrations.

What is reiki?

Reiki is a spiritual energy healing practice discovered in Japan in the early 1900s. It works by channelling Universal healing energy through the practitioners’ hands to the participant. It can be done with light touch or with no touch, over or near the chakra points. The healing works by encouraging the body to deeply relax and therefore allowing its own healing properties to activate. All healing from reiki comes from the receiver’s own body. Receiving reiki is commonly a very relaxing experience, and it can release stuck emotion/energy blockages.

Drinking plenty of water afterwards and resting are recommended to support its integration and maximise benefits.

Directions

The Hall round the side of St Anne's Church, St Leonard's Rd, Eastville, Bristol BS5 6JN.

By car - there is free parking on the nearby streets although they can be busy.

By bike - there are bike racks outside the venue.

By train - Stapleton Road is the nearest station, the venue is a 12 minute walk away.

Katie's 15+ years as a professional jazz musician, dancer and sensitive spirit have melded into a juicy passion of sharing how the subtle sensations of the nervous-system meets music theory and vibration for the purpose of healing. As well as running soundbaths and reiki healing, she offers somatic-music workshops which combine body-led intuitive sound play with a gentle cognitive understanding of music theory.
