About

This series of movement-based workshops invites participants to explore the stories and inherent wisdom of their body through somatic movement practices, creative expressions (intuitive writing, mark-making), and improvisation. Each session offers a supportive and guided approach focusing on a different body part and conscious movement that encourages sensing, noticing, and deepening connection with our body.

The workshops are anchored in exploring sensations, feelings and experiences in the body in the movement (or stillness) that creates pathways toward one's awareness and creativity.

Throughout the sessions we will be focusing on body awareness, attention to the breath, mental images, sensations & movement impulses to cultivate embodied awareness and attentive listening. Imaginative prompts and creative tools will support authentic expression and playful discovery.

This third session of the 4 series workshops will be focusing on our Pelvis. Together we will explore its depth, space and power! We’ll use imagination and creative prompts to spark curiosity, self-expression and creativity. There’s space for playfulness, reflection, and quiet integration, so you can make sense of your experience in your own personal way.

Everyone is welcome! No prior movement, dance, or art experience is needed. You’re very welcome to join even if this is your first session, and there’s no requirement to attend all four.

What to bring? Comfortable clothing you can move in, warm layers, a water bottle, yoga mat (if you have one) and your curious self

*Art materials to draw or write will be provided.
