About
A not for profit, monthly women’s circle run with the support of Frome Town Council. A space for women in the local community to connect, share, be witnessed in and celebrate their experiences.
What to Expect
We will open with group agreements, followed by a sharing circle. After the sharing, Daniella will guide us in crafting native Smudge sticks.
_In a time when resources are being over used and exploited, the well know smudging practices of white mountain sage from North America and the Pau d'Arco from South America has environmental impacts that a lot of us are waking up to. _
Pau d'Arco is traditionally harvested from the fallen dead tree and prayed over and collected for cleansing. I (Daniella) have a well reputed contact that has direct connections with a tribe that harvest in this way and receive direct payments, pm me if interested.
However as a medicinal herbalist of this land, it's wonderful to bring back the more native plants that were used for this exact reason that have been side lined by these more widely known smoke cleansers.
We will be creating our own smudge sticks native to the UK. Herbs such as our native sage; rosemary; mugwort; roses (if you have any dried at this time of year); thyme; lavender. These can all be used along with any of the other kitchen herbs you may have in your garden.
Please bring what you can, I'll have a selection also, but if someone has a large rosemary bush or sage for example please bring to share so we are abundant.
I will also prepare a decoction of cleavers and nettle for us to drink at the circle which is known for its cleansing properties especially potent during this spring time energy.
What to Bring
Please bring any bunches of herbs you have available, a cup for tea. You might also like to bring a cushion.
This circle is open to anyone over the age of 18 who identifies as a woman.
Sliding scale of £4-£12. This is a not for profit organisation, all contributions will pay forward for future circles. If money is a barrier, please get in touch.
Cancellations with 48 hours of the start time of the event will not be refundable. However, you are welcome to transfer your spot to a friend. Just drop us an email so that we know who to expect.
This is a sober space, please ensure that you are not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
