About

Imagine a world in which we all did deep inner-work, learning to communicate desires and boundaries with clarity and kindness!

After all, a rich life is made of deep relationships. But these can also be the first to disrupt inner peace and joy.

On Sat 31st of Jan we’re holding a one-day retreat to deepen into awareness, and then practice communication whilst in presence.

We'll start the day with group awareness meditation. It's a powerful and fast way to discover a spacious, vibrant and peaceful presence that is already there.

We'll then do exercises from **Relational Life Therapy. ** It's a profound model with incredible insight into how humans relate, and many tools to help

  • Attune to what’s happening between you and another person
  • Communicate desires and boundaries with kindness
  • Replace reactivity and avoidance with honesty and intimacy
  • Develop tools for repair and understanding after conflict

We think this work could change the world, so I hope many of you are moved to come!

Practical note:

  • The day includes guided inquiry and communication exercises. You are free to choose which exercises to take part in.
  • You're welcome to attend alone, or bring friends and partners.

Preparation

  • Please come dressed in clothes suitable for movement
  • A notebook to record some reflections
  • If you have a meditation cushion and/or mat that would be great
  • There will be an hour for lunch, with shops nearby, or you may prefer to bring a packed lunch and use the microwave at the venue.

_ "A very well held and interesting event, unlike anything I’ve attended before. I was able to go deep into meditative states with new practices. Grateful for the insights gained and time shared in the company of likeminded people. _" - Jessica

_ “Lots of wisdom here and a very cool mix of practices. Addressing many layers - physical, emotional, perceptual, mental, non-dual - in an integrative and co-creative way with skilled facilitation. With a sprinkle of silly joy! This is the future and it's powerful. _” - Prash

The Meditatio Centre is a vibrant and welcoming oasis in the hub of London. It is open to people from all walks of life, from any religious, spiritual or secular tradition. It has regular meditation sessions and teaching on the practice and hosts an annual programme of events to explore the deeper dimensions of life.

They host events that look at the contemplative aspects of modern living: science, the arts, business, the environment, interfaith and the mystical core of Christianity. Workshops enliven the space – yoga, movement, poetry, dance – local artists are also invited to exhibit their work.

If you want what visible reality
can give, you're an employee.
If you want the unseen world,
you're not living your truth.

Both wishes are foolish,
but you'll be forgiven for forgetting
that what you really want is
love's confusing joy.
