About
SPRING - WE GO OUTSIDE!
We will gather in the woods next to the river Mardle in Buckfastleigh to explore the ancient tradition of hand building with clay!
(10 mins walk from town or you can drive and park next to the woodland)
There will be a craft camp created around a bonfire with space to paddle and unwind in the evening light.
We will learn ancient hand building techniques, use primitive mark making tools, create different forms, learn about carbon smoke marks, applying designs with stains and burnish the clay ready for firing.
Our final celebration session will take place in a beautiful yurt in Staverton where we can fire our pots and witness the magical alchemy of mud being turned into ceramic!
