WOOL

We will gather at The Mansion in Totnes in the beautiful art studio (room one) to explore the ancient wool craft of spinning.

In this 7 week course we will begin in circle, learning to spin wool into yarn and experiment with local natural dye plants.

With our gorgeous hand-spun and dyed wool, we will weave a scarf with a back-strap loom, incorporating our dreams and hopes for the summer!

The last three session we will be based outside, weaving in a variety of nature spots so we can fully appreciate this nomadic craft surrounded by the jaw dropping beauty of May!

The course will end with a fireside celebration in Dartington estate.

The group is for beginners who are curious to use their hands, connect with local materials, be in a supportive group and learn the ancient skill of spinning and weaving!

Sessions are fun, dynamic, relaxed and playful with laughter, check-ins and community building!

**26th April - Spin/natural dye **

5th May - Intro back-strap loom/thread warp

12th May - Weave by Dart in Totnes

19th May - Weave in Leechwell garden

**25th May - Weave in Dartington **

(We will start at 7pm so aim to arrive 5 mins before to settle)
