We will concoct a fools funeral at the Samhain New Moon...

Coming together in celebration, our topsy-turvy tomb-tending will seek the ancestors and the jokes they have woven into to the collective tapestry of story and song. In dialogue with the dead, and the land, we eulogise that which has passed, in order to reconnect with the present miracle of existence. This extended gathering will give us time to work with clay and create masks. Our collective research will explore masked play as a meta-science with which to speak to, honour and re-imagine the spirits, souls and mnemonic associations dwelling in the mind-stuff.

Our group will forage for medicines on the land of Dartmoor, crafting and building collective altars, staging masquerades and artistic rituals, feasting, sweating, growing and grieving together at this special time of year. As ever we seek connection with, and call in, that strong-hearted, mercurial trickster, The Clown.
