About
This beautiful two-hour breathwork ceremony offers a gentle, supportive, trauma-informed space to reconnect with your feelings through conscious connected breathing, somatic practice, meditation, intention, music, and guided relaxation. We begin with grounding and a short optional sharing round, then move into guided breathwork to safely release emotional and energetic blocks and support nervous system regulation - without needing to explain or analyse your experience.
When we fully feel our emotions, we reconnect with their power, and can meet the world with greater clarity, empathy, and agency. Many of us have learned to manage or suppress what we feel, yet emotions hold vital energy and wisdom; when ignored they can show up as anxiety, tension, or even physical pain. When we let them move through the body and into expression, we find release, lightness, and balance.
Guided by WILDA facilitator Kat Ballam (www.wilda.life), trained in Holosomatic Body Therapy and meditation. No prior experience is necessary - only a willingness to show up and breathe, in ceremony and in community.
About this session
I will be using the Holosomatic Bodywork Therapy approach, which combines rounds of conscious connected breathing with somatic touch (by consent). The purpose of this work is to gently bring the nervous system into an activated state and then return to regulation and resource. By breathing in this titrated way, the nervous system can gently release in stages and also re-learn a healthy pattern of moving itself in and out of regulation. You are always completely at choice as to how much you would like to breathe and a large part of this work is to come into a more intimate relationship with the shape of our nervous system and understand cues and symptoms to better manage our own regulation and recognise a stable ground from which we can live our lives.
What to bring
Avoid heavy meals 1-2 hours before the session.
About Breathwork
This is a form of breathing that is generally safe for everyone however you will be required to take full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing during the session. There is a waiver form that lists contraindications that you need to read and sign to participate. Get in touch if you have any questions or concerns as often there is an adapted practice that can be suggested as needed.
