About

APRIL FOOLS / FULL MOON
A DAY OF TRICKSTERS, BODIES & BEAUTIFUL ERRORS

In person on Dartmoor National Park
1st April

On the threshold of April Fools Day, under the Full Moon, we gather in Dartmoor for a day of playful seriousness, embodied inquiry, silly dancing, and masquerade.

This one day workshop is rooted in movement, presence, clowning, and mythic attention.

It culminates in an open evening jam. Wordless, ecstatic, and shared.

🌿

TUESDAY 1 APRIL
DAY WORKSHOP: 10am – 4pm

A full day of guided practice exploring:

• Trickster energy and foolish wisdom
• Embodied listening and impulse
• Clown, Butoh, and somatic presence
• Working with mistakes, glitches, and not-knowing
• The body as oracle, mask, and medium

The day is structured, held, and spacious. No performance pressure. No requirement to be “good at” anything. You are welcome exactly as you are.

This work is suitable for artists, movers, performers, and curious humans who want to loosen habits and let something unexpected through.

🔥

EVENING OPEN JAM (AFTER 4PM)

As dusk falls, the space opens.

An optional “Jam” inspired by:
• Ecstatic Dance
• Clown states, masked play and improvisation
• Contact Impro/Music Jam
• Bodywork, Quiet observation, Stillness.
• Object play
• Poetry
• Drawing and mark making

If the weather is good we may dance under the full moon around a bonfire

There may be a sauna also depending on numbers and the vibe.

There will be a curated playlist and some live sound. You can move, rest, witness, enter and exit as you need. This is not a workshop, but a shared field. A soft ritual. A lunar playground.
