Ride: Casual Length: This 550k is around 7 hours in the saddle. Lunch: TBD - probably in Merrit Meetup: Lougheed Chevron near 206 Street in Maple Ridge

Cancelled - The smoke from the Ainslie and Brunswick Creek fires is heading North East, blanketing Hwy 8 and perhaps a bit of Merritt.

Update 2026.07.09 - Latest report is that Hwy 8 is once again fully paved, however Hwy 1 is presently closed.

Outbound via Hwy 7 & Hwy 5 to the Brookmere turnoff, then through Kane Valley on the Coldwater Road. Hwy 8 from Merritt to Spences Bridge is mostly paved, with the last 50k due for resurfacing starting April 21. Returning home via Highway 1 for a change of scenery.
