About
Political instability, ecological grief, moral injury. When the world feels like it’s burning, many of us feel small, powerless and overwhelmed.
But forests teach us something different. After a fire, a forest does not collapse into despair. It regenerates. Beneath the scorched surface, vast underground networks remain intact. From these deep roots, healing begins.
This online gathering invites you into that deeper place of resilience.
Short film
We begin with a short film filmed in Ashdown Forest. In 2022, parts of this ancient forest burned and now it is growing back. The film explores ecological succession: the natural stages through which a traumatised ecosystem regenerates into a stronger, more diverse “climax community.” The film asks: If forests are encoded to regrow after devastation, what might that mean for us?
Tree Journey
Following the film, Dr Rosalind Watts will share a 20-minute embodied meditation. You will be invited to:
This is a gentle, accessible practice. No prior experience is needed.
Small reflections circles
After the journey, we’ll move into brief small facilitated breakout groups. These circles are not therapy, they are spaces for:
When enough of us remember our interconnectedness, something shifts.
We’ll close with space for questions about ACER Integration , a year-long community journey exploring:
Applications for the next ACER cohort close at March 25th.This event stands alone, but if you feel resonance, you’ll have the opportunity to learn more and receive a discount code from The Psychedelic Society for our upcoming cohort starting in April.
This gathering may be especially meaningful if you:
You do not need to identify as “psychedelic” or spiritual.
Just human.
When the flames feel close, forests do not panic. They reach down, connect, and prepare to regrow. You are warmly invited to join us.

Dr Rosalind Watts is a clinical psychologist and researcher known for her work on connectedness and mental health. After leading clinical research into psychedelic therapy, she founded ACER (Accept, Connect, Embody, Restore), a year-long, nature-rooted integration community helping people cultivate lasting resilience and belonging.
