About
A guided journey and shamanic dance to connect with your power animal and embody their medicine, with shamanic practitioner Hannah Sneyd and DJ Hernandez.
Everybody - whether aware of it or not - has a power animal: an animal spirit ally who walks, flies or swims beside them throughout life. Each power animal carries unique ‘medicine’ - spiritual teachings that help us to live in greater balance and harmony. Your power animal may carry messages for you, as well as teachings on how to inhabit your body more fully and access greater strength, vitality and life force. With their guidance, we can learn to trust our instincts and navigate life’s challenges from a more grounded and connected place.
In this workshop, you will be guided on a lower-world journey to meet your power animal. We will invite these animal spirits to accompany us in a shamanic dance, in order to embody their wisdom into our bodies. Through this process, some people may also encounter animal spirit guides who form part of their wider medicine circle - they are welcome too! After dancing, we will have time to reflect and create integration steps.
Please bring something to lie down on, a blind-fold and a blanket if required for your comfort. Comfortable shoes and clothes are recommended for dancing. You may wish to bring shamanic objects such as a rattle, an object to place on the altar, and also writing/journaling materials.
No experience is required – it’s totally fine if this is all very new to you, you will be guided through the entire process. Simply come with an open mind and an open heart.

Hannah lives on Dartmoor and spends her free time exploring the Westcountry’s wilds and waves, dancing and digging up the garden.
Dan Hernandez is an itinerant mischief-maker exploring the ritual roots of performance. His work draws on Dance, Clown, Bouffon, Butoh, Contact Improvisation, Tao/Tantra, Vodou, Mask, Psychomagic and more… Dan will be our DJ for this event.
