About

As we nourish, we belong

This one-day fundraiser is an invitation to gather around nourishment of body, land and relationship while raising funds for Devon Cornwall Food Action & Devon Dig and Donate CIC.

Organised by Lily Aisbitt-Waugh & Laurie Gutteridge.

Held at The Forge Therapy Centre in Totnes.

Morning

10h - 13h

An open space to meet one another, to remember that nourishment begins long before the table.

  • Seed Swap : An invitation to bring seeds you’ve saved, loved or inherited, and to leave with something new.
  • Seed Bomb Workshop for families : A playful, hands-on invitation for children and adults to work with clay and seeds together, creating small offerings for the land.
  • Tea & Cake : Warm drinks and home-baked cake served throughout the morning. A place to pause & to sit together.

Come & say hello, get playful, sit with a cup of tea… This is open to all who wish to meet us in hope.

Afternoon

15h - 18h30

15h ~ 16h : Flower remedies with Hannah Richards

In this workshop we will explore Bach flower remedies related to themes of Spring within ourselves-- such as renewal, hope, unfreezing, shedding, blossoming, and welcoming in fresh energy and creativity.

Each person will leave with their own Spring-inspired flower remedy blend to support shifts in their inner landscape as we welcome the shift of the seasons.

16h30 ~ 18h30 : Honouring the Bees - Intentional Poetry Practice & Film Screening

As the day turns, we join bee guardians & hand weavers Rosemary Reidel-O'Brien and Lily Aisbitt-Waugh for an intentional poetry practice to bless the bees.

Followed by the screening of My Garden of a Thousand Bees by acclaimed wildlife filmmaker Martin Dohrn, who, locked down by coronavirus, turns his lenses on the surprising and spectacular bees living in his own urban garden in Bristol, England.

Please note these two offerings are ticketed.

Intention

This day is an offering. A remembering that nourishment is not separate from responsibility.

That home is something we make together & that community is how we respond.

Come for part of the day or stay with us throughout. Bring food, seeds, presence & care.

Let us gather.
