About

Join experienced forager, Leah Tolman, on the land at Embercombe for our first foraging day of 2026, when we will gather together and eat wild!

Spring is the perfect time to reconnect with the land, and Embercombe is emerging quite beautifully at this time of year. On this friendly introduction to foraging, you will learn how to identify nourishing plants that emerge after winter and how they can support your health and energy.

Whether youโ€™re curious about wild foods, looking to reconnect with nature, or simply want to try something new, this day is a wonderful way to welcome the spring season. Suitable for all levels of experience, and beginners warmly welcomed.

Please arrive from 10am for a prompt 10:30am start. We will gather outside the Dining Yurt to start our time together and then head out onto the land.

Embercombe is a rural site, we will be walking and foraging along tracks, in meadows and woodland, and there will be areas of uneven and rough ground. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear, and be prepared for changes in weather.

Our walk will require some light exertion. If you are worried about accessibility, please contact a member of our team at support@embercombe.org and we will do our best to assist you.

Everyone is welcome to join our foraging events. You do not need to have any prior knowledge of foraging.

Please note, no dogs are permitted at this event.

Arrival

Please arrive via our main gate, which is off the lane between The Belvedere Tower and Trusham. If you are coming with others, please car share where possible. Drive slowly down the track and park. Walk onto site and you will be welcomed outside the first buildings on your right.
