We’re All Builders Now: atproto LA × ACE Los Angeles — March 23

LA! It’s time. atproto LA is officially here — and we’re kicking things off with the kind of inaugural event that sets a tone.

We’re pairing up with ACE Los Angeles (the Atlassian Community Events group for the LA area) for a joint evening built around one idea that’s hard to argue with right now: AI has made builders out of all of us. If you’ve been on Bluesky lately, you’ve seen it. People shipping feeds, AppViews, clients, bots — things that would’ve taken a team and a runway two years ago, now built solo over a weekend.

We’ve got incredible guests from the Atmosphere — including folks from the Bluesky team — showing off what’s being built on the open social web. And right before us, our ACE LA friends are doing the same thing on the Atlassian side, where AI-assisted Forge development is bringing that same builder energy into the enterprise. Then we’ll wrap up with the good stuff - something yummy to eat and drink and good social time together!

And about that venue — The Preserve is the winner of the Building of the Year Award and has been called LA’s most creative campus , and it earns that. The two-acre campus features over 6,500 plants and trees, 58 oval-shaped private bungalows with 360-degree transparent acrylic walls, a shaded courtyard, a rooftop deck, and what’s considered LA’s largest outdoor event space.
